SUPERANNUATION REFUND FAQ
AM I ENTITLED TO A SUPER REFUND?
If you worked in Australia on a working holiday visa, student visa or 457 visa and had superannuation paid into your designated fund, you are entitled to claim back a portion of this amount when you leave Australia and your visa has expired.
HOW MUCH DO I GET BACK?
If you worked in Australia, your employer will have paid 9.5% of your gross income as a compulsory superannuation contribution to your nominated fund. When lodging for your super refund, the government takes 38% as tax and our fee is also deducted.
WHAT DO I NEED?
- Name of nominated superannuation funds
- Superannuation fund account number/s
- Certified copy of your passport photo page
- A copy of your Visa details
If you do not know your superannuation fund details contact your previous employers who will be able to provide these.
WHAT DO I NEED?
Once you have left Australia and your visa has expired you are entitle to apply for a Superannuation Refund.
We recommend you begin our online application form prior to leaving Australia along with obtaining a certified copy of your passport to save time.
OUR FEES
We offer a competitive fee of $250 for superannuation refund applications, which is taken from the refund amount, therefore there is no out of pocket expense to you. Also, unlike our competitors we offer a discounted rate of $100 per additional superannuation fund and charge a fixed fee, not a percentage of your refund which can end up costing you hundreds $$$!
